Email Setup
Settings for your individual email client will vary. Please use the following settings / guidelines when following the setup wizard.
Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
Make sure that the option for "My Server Requires Authentication" is selected. This is usually found in the advanced options.
Niuhi provides an alternate port (2525) for SMTP traffic.
Some customers using Earthlink, AOL, SBC Global, RCN or other ISPs may encounter "connection failure" or "cannot send email" error messages when attempting to send email via Niuhi's Outgoing SMTP server (mail.yourdomain.com). This is due to the ISP blocking or redirecting the standard SMTP port 25 such that you cannot reach your SMTP server.
It is advisable that laptop users also follow this configuration advice to avoid any possibility of problems when roaming between dialup, cable/DSL Internet connections and corporate LANs.
